Burnley didn’t look that well in their previous game away to Reading last weekend, but still had their own chances to walk away with all three points, including a penalty kick missed by Gray in 59th minute. Overall, they left the ball possession to their opponents, but were dangerous on counter attacks, in a bit less interesting game than what was expected.
Still the team remained undefeated in last three matches in all competitions and in last eight in Championship, since they continue to be very close to the top of the table – currently at fourth position with four points less than leaders from Hull and just two points away from second placed Middlesbrough. This means that they are in a must win situation in order to continue their race for two direct promoting spots. In front of own fans they have been doing very well for now with 10-3-2 record and surely that everything except a victory would be a huge setback for them. Home side will probably go unchanged here, while they continue to miss offensive players Ashley Barnes (no performance anyway in the new season) and Lukas Jutkiewicz (5/0).

Rotherham, on the other side, also comes into this match after a goalless draw, but for them it was at home against Birmingham. It was quite a passive game from both sides, with very rare goal scoring opportunities, but the home side will still feel much more satisfied with a point taken, since they were playing with a man less since 79th minute when Wood got excluded and ended up playing with two man less following exclusion of Mattock during the additional time.
With this result, they remained without a victory in last five rounds of Championship, still being in the relegation zone, currently at 22nd position and with five points less than first safely placed sides from MK Dons and Bristol City. Away from home the team have been terrible all season long with 2-2-11 record and everything except a loss here would be quite a surprise for them, while they would probably feel content even with a narrow loss. Visitors will probably make a few changes here, while they continue to miss suspended central defender Richard Wood (2/0) and left full back Joe Mattock (22/1). Doubtful for today’s game are forward Leon Best (1/0) and Stephen Kelly (3/0).
