Qatar to be Stripped of 2022 World Cup, According to Senior Bid Figure
A lead figure in Qatar's successful attempt to host the 2022 FIFA World
Cup has spoken out over her country's wrongdoings and corruption in
their winning bid. She stated that FIFA will have no choice but to find a
new host following the Arab states supposed deception, as reported by
the Mail Online.
Now focusing her attack on now resigned FIFA president Sepp Blatter; Almajid is confident the 79-year-old's resignation is actually a cunning ploy.
"As for FIFA, they talk of reform but the biggest reform they should make in the process around the World Cup is to introduce a human rights pillar. The World Cup should not be awarded to countries that don’t respect human rights."
Speaking at length, Phaedra
Almajid - who fears for her safety following growing anger over the
Arab nation's misconduct in the bidding process of 2010 - which pitted
the country against football heavyweights such as Australia,
Japan, South Korea and the USA, ss adamant her country will be stripped
of the honor of hosting the prestigious event. With the
vast array of incriminating evidences destined to remove Qatar as 2022
hosts.
"There
are people who are p***** off with me [for speaking out], and what
really p***** them off is that I’m a female, Muslim whistleblower."
Now focusing her attack on now resigned FIFA president Sepp Blatter; Almajid is confident the 79-year-old's resignation is actually a cunning ploy.
"I
just don’t think Blatter actually intends to quit. Everything he does
is very calculated. He’ll try very hard to save himself, I’m sure of it.
"The
Qataris don’t keep their promises. They won’t keep promises on human
rights. I lived there and worked there for seven years and I know that
the royal family there hate one thing more than anything - being
publicly shamed. They should be shamed for the treatment of the Weekes
family [recent local fire disaster].
"As for FIFA, they talk of reform but the biggest reform they should make in the process around the World Cup is to introduce a human rights pillar. The World Cup should not be awarded to countries that don’t respect human rights."
